Mark did some work for me when he was at LSV - he's been working on them since the late 1990's and knows what he's about. Sure I'm not alone in recommending him and the products he's offering. Think bigcol on here has an early magnacharger fitted and he's about to have the pulley changed up to the 9psi unit that are the standard offering now. Sorely tempted to order one up myself off ebay and have it put aside until I get all the other gubbins sorted I want fitted at the same time. Mind you think I'll save the 650 quid for the "polished" version!!
Mark was with the official importer of HSV's into the UK before 2000, then with LSV for 5/6 years before starting up RapidGB, spent thousands of pounds with him over the years and has done just about everything to my car, doubt if there is anyone with as much experience of fitting SC's to HSV's in the UK.
Mark has my car as we speak installing the new 9psi pully on the Magnacharger. He cares about his work. He is, like us, an enthusiast regarding these cars. He wants it to be right, so`s you`ll go back and spend lots more dosh. I think I have spent 15k over the last few years with Mark at LSV and now RapidGB and am very happy with his work.
Regarding the Magnacharger, all I can say is wow! I have no experience of any other supercharger so cannot compare. It looks nice and shiney and Mark is fitting GTO engine covers to finish the job off. I am relying on Marks knowledge and years of experience to tune my car. I have not been dissapointed. My car is becoming the car it always should have been. It goes like a howling banshee when pushed on a bit, but it is quite happy to do slow about town with no problem. Like for like driving I think I am 1 mpg better off with the Magnacharger supercharger. The car is on the dyno on Monday so I will post the dyno chart as soon as I can figure out how to! (or get my son to do it for me. He knows about this stuff). I might even get really ambitious and (try to) post a video of the car driving past under power so all can hear the Magnecharger.
In the not to distant future I will be talking to Mark about further enhancements. Suspension, diff etc....

Mark's a bad boy, he cost me a lot of money!
I had the choice of a late 80's Diablo at trade price, or a new 'ro. His advice was to get a CV8 and spec it up. Bought the latter, and then a pre-reg VXR. Total cost £55G. Well, not really, but sounds awful!
Bearing in mind he didn't know me from Adam at time, he didn't try to sell me one of his cars, and spent quite some time talking me through the options. I was well impressed with him at the time and met him a few times since, still don't have any reason to change that view.
Whilst I accept that I haven't had any work done by him, he has alway had an interesting selections of cars at his premises, and has always been happy to show his work in progress. Having said in previous threads, living in Wellingborough, more than happy (lucky?) to have either him or Roger (Monkfish) to work on my car

Marks a really nice bloke and did the work on my car. However a few caveats
1.) When putting my car on the rollers he reversed and damaged the cat. This in turn pulled the headers slightly out of line. There was a definite rub under load where the exhaust header was catching on the body of the car. I was then left with the car in a state I was unable to drive it as I knew it wasn't right. So I was left with Dan working hard to try and adjust things as Mark was not working with LSV at this point. Dan worked his balls off trying to sort it out. In the end Mark did come back and show a little jig to get it sorted which is basically using washers to lift the engine block up on one side. My cat is being replaced and despite this accident I've been very happy with the work done by Dan and LSV.
2.) My tune that was applied, now I am no expert but I know that my diff was flashed with settings for a 3.7 diff not a 3.4 diff. Net result my speedo under-reading, not good. The injector flow rates had also been programmed for the older ls1 smaller capacity injectors. Whether or not that is a particularly bad thing considering the o2/maf is there to tidy up is another matter.
Mark certainly knows his stuff but just thought I'd give a heads up to the above. The car was clearly not right after ir had been banged, I actually saw the front lift up with the impact onto the rollers. To be told it would settle down later was obviously not what was going to happen so I am not happy about that with him. If I had been caught speeding too, then what?
the above was done by Mark at lsv's premises but after he had left. Whilst i am sure it may reflect a little bad on them I genuinely hope it doesnt as Dan worked bloody hard sorting things out Tims taken good care of me.

I'm getting the exact same thing done soon. How did you get on? I have an 06 CV8 (with the small boot) which I assume is the same as yours. Did you go for the standard 6psi or 9psi? What does it drive like now? Questions, Questions!
