I went to a charity event where I was told of a Monaro driver 'misbehaving' on one of the bear charity events, overtaking cars which apparently is a no no.

Colleague at work today was talking to her sister in law who got overtaken by a Monaro near Salisbury. She asked what colour thinking it may be me but thankfully it was a Red one, driving like a nutter, and apparently she is a petrolhead herself.

So, good or bad?

From the little experience I've had then are normally good drivers but very fast.

In general I think most of them drive well. Only problem is most I have seen have their "moments" and do utilise the power sometimes Sadly that is probably when most people take notice

As for me? I drive like a granny all the time! rolleyes

The only regular car I saw was a nutter - drove like his life depended on it.

But since then, not really noticed any to know.

Away from PH'ers i would imagine the general reaction to a fast, loud, unidentifiable car would be "...to$$er...."
But i can live with that!

I've only seen 2 recently.

One was on the A23 near Hickstead driving like a cock and the other was in Brighton again, driving like a cock.

The price the cars are now at seem to be attracting cocks.

I've seen some rather spirited driving from other owners when going in convoy to events but nothing I would really class as bad.

I've seen 2 Monaro's and both drivers were just driving in a normal fashion.

Too slow from what I've seen. And that probably includes the red VXR in our bodyshop at the mo that's been rear ended!

I find when I'm driving a small, lesser powered car, I tend to be more agressive in driving too... All the power, all the brakes, all the time. It's just not as fast as what you're used to otherwise.

In the Monaro you know you have the power waiting for when it's appropriate so I can waft around looking down my nose at all the lesser vehicles until the road opens up enough to bury the loud pedal.

I don't see many other Monaro's on the road... The one I did run in to was doing the roundabouts / straights near Milton Keynes in the opposite direction to me one morning. Spirited, I think they call it.
Marvellous!

Do you think 100 grand 911's or Ferrari's are driven by law abiding citizens who never break the speed limit just because their cars are expensive and poorer people cant afford them, BOLLOCKS its nothing to do with affordability its all down to an individual's personal actions regardless of how much they have paid for a car
