Why don't they make it out of plastic? Surely it would just become another heat-sink?

£400 buys you enough 90mm ally tube to run the filter in the boot hehe

I have one of these on my car, exactly the same, only a different sticker. I am pretty sure they are built in Dandenong in Victoria where I bought mine. I had been running the Powertorque version but the original plastic construction can sometimes struggle if you keep removing it all the time like I was doing, especially around the throttle body end. A lot of people now use a rubber joiner to save stressing the plastic at that end which is a good fix. There is also a fibreglass copy of the Powertorque one available. They normally come up on Oz ebay or Oz trading post. The metal one has to be ordered through select workshops. Metal one is just a bit more robust for me.
Do they work? motomk nods head
Mafless is normally required although it might be possible to use the alloy one with the later MAF.
I used to only use mine at the drags but... not anymore, more fun with it on!

That AFR curve is about right for stock. Shows how easy it is to get more power.
Pull out some fuel which simply serves to douse/quench out the flame of combustion. (As there is no air to burn past 14.7:1)
Partly why FI use richer ratio to cool combustion. NA can use 13:1 for near ideal in an LS series.

Is that a before and after graph? - If it is, I would says its a good advert for why its not worth purchasing. Stick you money in a pot and save up for a decent power upgrade.

it looks like a standard 3 runs to get the high, low and mean hp figure

430 ish std car ??? Me thinks not!! Looks like a suggested 5-10 gain dependent on which line you read, If it is tuned already, then the gains maybe different also. Suggest a UK car based on reg.
