VXR8s reduced... apparently

Hi guys, just had a call from Phoenix Wimbledon, they are having an 'event' this weekend, where they are offering discounts on all new models, including the VXR8. Might be worth a shout if you are looking to buy, but it's by appointment only, so you'd have to call and talk to one of the sales bods...

I'm afraid I cant vouch for any of the above, but as I say, could be worth a phone call...

Im waiting for the second hand ones to start hitting the websites.
I went to look at one at Lance Owen, doesnt look quite so big up close as I thought, well compared to my Clubsport it didnt anyway.
And Blue looked nice too. Still about £10k more than I would spend for now. I suspect Ill be waiting a few years yet

If it follows the Monaro's initial pricing then it'll be dropping £10k within months. Since it's a four-door - and not a coupe, I can well see that happening.

Mate, if it does that (please God!) I will be RUNNING to the dealer to get my order in! For now, the tightwad in me is just holding off thinking about the fuel consumption and the depreciation!

A certain US vehicle has captured my heart http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/ I have US dollars already converted through a pistonheads member in the bank waiting for a 2009 Camaro. I figured I would probably end up back in NZ eventually so could sort out an SS then. Need to keep the clubsport for a few more years to justify my crazy modfest costs.

If the VXR8 drops to the same cost as an Oz sourced one I could be tempted with a second car however.

Just my humble opinion, but i think the VXR8 is a different beast to te Monaro and i think reductions will be a lot slower coming. At least of the figures mentioned previously.

My local stealer said that i could have his demo in 3 months for 30K but after spaking to another he has said it would be closer to 32K

Only time will tell!!
