Performance Meter

Just got one, what a toy.
Cars in the body shop at the mo but in case you ever wondered here are the performance figures for an 03 plate Transit 90/350 MR/MWB
0- 60 22.8sec
60ft 2.88sec
1/8 mile 16.1sec @47.0 mph
1/4 mile 23.1sec @61.7 mph
Declined to do the 60- 0 on the account of being too lazy to unload the trials bikes from last weekend.
Can see me having hours of endless fun with it.

And thanks for the details on the GTech Jez and the explanation. I was hoping to make my first post after I had got my supercharged VXR8 (and so had a 'right' to post), but now the cat's out of the bag. Its the Walkinshaw kit in the fastest colour, lowered with loud zorst so should appeal to the boy in everyone! The car has been sitting at the dealers for 2 weeks but with holidays and a knee op I can't get it until next Saturday. If I can get a G Tech by then I might post some numbers.
I used to have one of the old G-Tech's...nothing but a toy.
Some runs might be close...some would be way off. Depends how hard you slammed gears, launched etc....
Was easy to confuse it, but still good fun trying. PITA to set up having to level it etc...too temperamental.
Although perhaps their more modern units are a lot better. I have a Race Technology AX=22 now...GPS/accelerometer based unit, and it is pretty damn accurate. Price tag to match obviously.
Ive tried this at Santa Pod, Avon Park, and Crail, and 98% of the time its within 1-2mph, and 0.2 secs.
Although I see Racelogic now offer a cheaper unit, GPS based too, which should offer similar accuracy.

Yeah new GTech is self leveling, so you just push the button. The old one was a nightmare.
New one seems ok. Its just hard to find a 1/4 mile flat with nobody in the way in the middle of london, in a private road
My mate has got one of the old ones, was going to try it to get some performance data out of my car. Wasn't aware of the leveling requirement, I think I would stuggle.New one seems ok. Its just hard to find a 1/4 mile flat with nobody in the way in the middle of london, in a private road
