With the large number of spotted threads we get on this forum maybe we should have a sticky thread full of em for easy refferal like the Noble and Ferrari forums? Probably encourage more people to post since you dont risk wasting people's screen space. Mods? smile

Oh and Silver VXR with Wortecs spotted again in Tankerton/Whitstable past the chip shops wink

Alternately we could start a dating agency based on seeing a car you like - you register the numberplate and if they are on you can get in touch

oh wiat...

Problem is that too many stickies clog up the main page...

I think it's a good idea. Oh, and I saw a ute parked up outside a house in Mullingar, Ireland this weekend. Slightly strange place to spot an Aussie car, what with their taxes etc. Good on whoever's gone for it though thumbup

A spottd sticky would be a good idea.

Or, we could just reply to the one spotted thread rather than starting new ones?

Maybe have 1 sticky thread for a few weeks until it takes off?

Why have them at all?
I mean you've seen a car... ooh, how exciting.

'tis one of the reasons I don't come here much anymore (big deal I hear many people say - fairy nuff)

The whole place has turned into either "spotted" posts or who has the biggest supercharger.

It isn't exactly exciting is it?

well its maybe not that exciting but as they seem to be rarer than rocking horse shit up here I know I get a buzz when I see one on the road. Assume the others that post them are of the same opinion. As with all forums my solution to threads that bore me - I dont bother opening them and move onto more interesting ones that do catch my attention. Lets the authors get on with their thing while I get on with mine. Be dull if we all liked the same thing now wouldnt it.

Here's a suggestion....

I will create a Spotted thread and flag as FAQ so you can use the "FAQ" search button on the thread list?

That way, the main page does not get cluttered with stickies and you can have easy search to it

Our cars are quite rare sight on the roads, it's a good idea to have a spotted thread. It's just a bit of fun.

But when much of the whole forum is taken up by spotted threads to which any replies there are along the lines of

"was me"

"sounds nice mate"

"ta"

end of thread...

it doesn't really contribute to an exciting time does it?

I know I sound like a moaning old woman and I'm truly sorry about that but the forum isn't a patch on what it once was and hell, I've only been here a year or so - goodness knows what the old stagers like Will think of it.

Anyway, I'm rambling and yes, I know it all begins at home...

Hopefully we're talking motorbike.... as smoke off a push bike would have definitely been something to behold!

Halfway up North and I think I had the only VXR for an hours drive in each direction... Spotted threads are just a bit of fun and should definitely be continued imho.
