Is it normal for a 6l VXR to be reading 330 bhp and 289 ft lb whenthe cat has a full wortec cat back with headers

The Torque fig is low which tends to say the inlet temp was above normal.....

As a guide

Hub dyno = 383hp
Quad roller dyno = 347hp
Twin roller dyno = 358hp

here is an independent test by VXR-DAZ which shows 336hp on a quad roller with a standard car at 295hp approx

This is a little different as the power seems about right but torque seems very low, would just be interested to see the graph

If you RR`d it today or yesterday then It`ll have been pulling timing.

These LS engines dont run at all well hot, which is what they do on a warm day.

I RR`d mine after having the wortec full system fitted incl the new CAI and guess what, the RR figure was lower than the previous run before when just the non intercooled s/c was fitted.

All down to intake air temp, the car got too hot because it was a warmer day than last time.

Unless you felt the car was down on power which is why you went to see Charlie dont pay too much attention to those figures and have another go when the air is cooler.

If I was a manufacturer I`d cheat like a Ba****d to get a good bhp figure for my car and do all my dyno runs in Norway in the winter!!!!.
