Couple of little ones. First, when I do my first accelerate of the day I get a little red flashing light and series of beeps at around 5000 rpm-ish. I assume this is the engine saying "do not rev so hard I'm still warming up" but can't find anything about it in the manual. Is this right?

Second question. The Oil pressure guage sits around the 3 (bar?) mark all the time. Is this normal? I'd have expected it to be rammed up againts the 5 bar on a car with just over 12 k miles (that's were it sits on Audis).

Thanks in advance.

First question - Yes, you should let it warm up before you start revving it hard

Second question - All cars will be different, as long as the pressure doesn't move downwards very rapidly you will be ok.

Mine sits around the 3 mark hot or cold.

You are getting your wrist smacked for overrevving before the engines warm.

Happens at 4000 rpm and usually early in the morning

Thanks folks, I'll relax now (until I find something else to worry about).
