Dealers / Stu, are there problems with parts delivery for Monaro's - have been waiting since 13th July for a replacement stereo unit and still no ETA with the dealer (think they said the parts come from AEL).

Its a bit of a concern as you expect Vauxhall / Holden parts to be available in reasonable time....

You might find it is delays at holden rather than at vauxhall themselves.. they went through a period of not keeping alot of spares.. If you got the part number can send off to a mate in oz and find out what the avaliability of them is like.

Seems a bit hit and miss.

I had mine replaced last year and it was there within 2 days.

Think the parts are quite slow - Big Ends appear to be a problem.

With only 1000 cars in the country I guess they keep a small supply and if we all go for the same parts they run out.

Been waiting 6 months for a service book and owners manual. Keep getting told by the dealer that they are on order from Vauxhall.

Shame it didn`t take me this long to pay them for the car!!!!

Well, my car blew it's big ends late July and the parts are due in to the country on the 19th September (fingers crossed...). I'm hoping that I will get my car the following week, meaning that I will have been without it for 2 months.

From what I understand it isn't the big ends that I'm waiting for - it is the flywheel bolts and some gaskets, although I'm sure that there are probably some other bits as well.

Service from Picador and Vauxhall has been absolutely top notch while I've been without the Monaro - can't fault that piece certainly. It would be nice to get my car back though....can't wait!

I understand that there are some complete engines on their way over so act as spares as well btw - 12 apparently, although one is already allocated (not to me).

Sorry to hear about the delay in bits, we're chasing Holden daily at the moment.
We've bagged 20 engines that are being shipped in by mid Sept.

How much are the engines each? Geez, they aren't good odds, but I spose there are enough of them.
