Hiya....

has anyone had any problem with the suspension on a Monaro VXR?

The osr gap between the tyre and wheel arch was quite a bit less than the nsr.

Got it back to the garage who will investigate.

Any thoughts?

Do you have adjustable suspension?

Cracked spring?

Not uncommon to be 10-15mm lower.

its a standard Monaro 6:0ltr VXR.

Not had a report back from the garage yet.

  • Mr Monkfish - when you say its not uncommon....do you mean its a fault that will be put right under warranty.
or is it "they all do that sir, now go away!"

just to add a bit more info,

I decided to get it recovered by the AA (I was not happy to drive it not knowing the full extent of any problem)

When it was driven up the tilt and slide recovery truck..the suspension then leveled out ie back to normal. ??????

Splatspeed - You say you had a problem with the axel which showed a similar change in ride height from side to side.

What was the problem and how was it rectified?

my problem was the whole axle moving whilst driving

the stearing alignment going out was the first clue

but i could feel the backend shifting at speed for no reason

something loose

I get the impression that the guys at Picador are keen on the cars they deal with especially the Monaro/VX220/ VXR range in general.

Saying that they cant get hold of Phantom Black touchup but new shocks/spring arrive within 24 hrs!!! frown
