just wondering if anyone is running these, i have been reading alot of good reviews from the ozzy boys and am in discussions with a supplier to ship a set over.
he has told me he is open to discussion on a group buy of a minimum of 5 sets would anyone be seriously interested? (no profit for me just cheaper all round)

Be a little careful, I bought a set of variant 3 coilovers, they had been developed in the USA on the pontiac, but also featured on their Oz site, the guys that have used them in the States and Oz rave about them but they are def too stiff for UK roads, I'm in the process of changing the springs out for something softer, which hopefully will resolve the problems I am encountering with my internal organs!

I'd be interested in this option but i'm not planning to buy until next year frown so I'm very interested too see how you fair! I know about the Avo kit but from reading about their other kits for other cars I'm a bit dubious as to its longevity....though if its built to wortecs own design than thats probably good enough, what kind of warranty against leaks does it have?

Oh and what ever happened to the Ohlins on the press 500's?

I had the original AVO's but they were found very wanting. Apparently the fluid inside was not upto standard. Wortec replaced with the latest design on all the cars - very impressed with it since especially with the road response kit, handles so well now.

when you say too stiff for uk roads what degree of stiffness are we talking, teeth chattering or just no good on shitty b roads, grids, or pot holes.
surely on the lower settings or bump and rebound they should be acceptable. ive been to oz twice now and didnt think there roads were anything different to ours condition wise.

might be interested depending on the deal, I'm currently in discussions with a US supplier of Pedders bushes and looking to order some bushes in the next week or so. After tax and carriage I reckon they'll work out about 20% cheaper than the superflex equivalent. BTW anyone on here running with the Pedders kit? Looks good value for money if you buy one of their package deals with bushes, springs and struts.

Not teeth chattering, organ rearranging!
I had to back all damper settings to full soft to get a vaguely bearable ride, hoping the 450lb springs resolve the issue and allow me to dial a little more damper control.
KW kit generally has a great reputation so am very hopeful I can resolve.

bugger didnt think this was a bad deal until he says this is valid for 1 week only grrrrr. anyone up for it at such short notice?

By Sea Freight AUD $9700 for 5 kits (AUD $1940 per kit shipped) - This will include all cost our end + shipping to the UK. However, there will be cost your end for customs clearance and local delivery. Delivery time is approx 6 weeks. this comes to just short of £800

By Air CARGO AUD $10400 for 5 kits (AUD $2080 per kit) This will include all cost our end + AIR FREIGHT to the UK. However, there will be cost your end for customs clearance and local delivery. Delivery time is approx 1 week. just short of £860

so looking at just over a grand by the time you pay VAT at customs, not bad but short notice as a one week only deal. Don't know I'd want to jump that quickly without doing a bit more research to be honest - especially if the report above on the ride is accurate.

Pedders stuff I'm looking at started as just the odd set of bushes or two - caster adjustable front radius, rear radius, radius arms etc etc but sorely tempted to go the whole hog and do all the bushes - around 500 quid + fitting. Have asked about the carriage on getting the struts and springs across as well as they have some nice package deals around 900-1000 quid list.
