ChimChim strikes again...

All fitted...
Kenwood DDX8029 with various other bits and pieces. All great, apart from the fact that somewhere along the installation, the silver trim around the centre console has moved up just enough to cause the cup holders to foul, preventing opening properly. Have taken bits off and on again, and can't work out why. Also, have no idea how it's ever going to come out again if needed!!

The 'Chim-Chim' surround will come out again if needed although you get that feeling those clips won't make it! You just need to take a little extra care.
The guys who originally fitted mine had to remove the stereo again for some additional wiring work, and they had the same worries but they did it and it was easier than they thought.
Yours Looks very nice btw.

Looking good there, chap. Chimchim kits are massively expensive but do look as stock as humanly possible.
Re removal, I bought the full smokers pack (for tomtom etc) for my car and never got around to fitting them as would have to remove the stereo to install - just did not fancy the risk.
Cheers
