I was told by NOW vauxhall that the sat nav will cost £1,500.00 at that price i said NO.
Went to halfords & got a nav from there.

Problem is that in Australia they will probably only sell a handful of cars withh satnav so the cost per unit will be very high.

They'll probably drop it 3/4 of the way into the models life...like they did for the 6.0 VXR and shafted up the bum everyone that bought at the ful price.

Some people are still angry about that and wont go near a Vauxhall again (not me I must say as I got a deal on a CV8)

I cant see why. It is simple supply and demand. I bought a 'just about run in' 6 month old 04 VXR for 15k less than a spanker 05 VXR.

If you ask me I think the aforementioned people were perhaps a bit short sighted.

Eh?
How did those people figure that Vauxhall would shave £13k or so off the list price of the last 200ish cars (or whatever the numbers were)

It's not a normal practice for prestige cars - a couple of grand yes maybe...but that amount could not be forseen with the subsequent effect on residuals.

One such person (among a few who paid full money I know who've been affectd like this) I know that got shafted like that just sold his 05 reg 6.0 VXR for £17k 'cos he couldn't get a buyer.

Nice huh?

I don't think it was as many as 200 but there was quite a number of them.

Hummmm... have to disagree with that one. But again comes down to supply and demand.

Ditto.

Agreed, not nice.

Look on the bright side, if they had bought a more expensive car, they would have lost even more! wink

Just bear it in mind when you buy your VXR8 (if you do that is)

I'm off to buy a Prius.
