well, had one of our track days today with corporate people. Took the VXR8 along for a go too. Few laps...

pretty good i'd say. Power and braking were excellent. Brakes never faded at all and I did dump on them!.

Some sideways action too. Car was more predictable with ESP off.

Oil temp ran to 135/140. Once it hit 140 I came in the give her a rest..... I think this temp is fairly normal under track conditions....???

The oil temp is ok but it depends where the sensor for the gauge is located in the system.

I wasnt able to stay out too long. Came in often to cool down.

Maybe Paul (Wortec) can advise.... Do these cars need bigger oil coolers?

What oil is used in the VXR8 (mine hasn't arrived yet)?

To be honest after a little more though unless the oil is a decent fully synth performance oil 134/140 is a little high for comfort.

Again, it depends where the sensor is 135/140 degrees.... where
