The new Camaro

Someone said to me the other day that it's based on the Monaro

He wouldn't have it when I said it wasn't but I couldn't back it up with "baffle 'em with facts" type stuff.

Help me demolish him chaps.

From what I understand, the new Camaro, VXR8, all Holdens and HSV's, and eventually the new Monaro are all based on the new RWD chassis designed by Holden - the 'Zeta' platform.

Its a new platform for which no monaro yet exists. However it may well share a common platform with the camaro when its released.

There is a Holden/Camaro test mule in the US. Pictures show it to look like a VE Commodore coupe.
