I've noticed that the bonnet vents aren't.

Does removing the blanking plates do any harm/good?

Cheers.

I have a feeling they don't add any ram type cooling effect 'cos they aren't actually placed right but they do help when stationary if you remove the blanking rubbers

Yeah apparently you really need to remove the rear rubber seal from along the top edge of the bonnet by the wind screen to get any through draft to cool things down. Otherwise not much point, hence why they are there from the factory Im sure.

Going out on a limb here, as this is pure speculation.

Would not the engine bay be at a slightly lower pressure due to the Venturi effect the airflow passing underneath the car would give.

If this was the case surely the nostrils would allow airflow to neutralise the partial pressure.

Just an idea, so be gentle wise owls.
