I can't seem to locate the thread on how to upgrade monaro bulbs. What am I doing wrong?
I believe that the main beam is H11, the dip is an H9, which is a real pain to upgrade.
Can I change the bulb fitment and use another type of bulb?
Power bulbs have a upgraded H11 bulb, but nothing for the H9, which is the one i'm after.

replace the h11 55w with a 65w h9 and to make it fit simply remove the extra plastic tag with a sharp blade on the inside of the bulb plug itself - compare the bulbs side by side and you'll see what I mean by the extra plastic tag in the bulb socket where it plugs onto the wiring loom. 5 min job to replace them, though the driver side is easier if you remove the battery first.
as what has been said; very easy to alter H 11 to fit.
Ideally you should also snip a thin bit off one of the metal stops where the bulb fits, so that it sits square/vertical; compare the H9 with the H11 and it is easy to see.
