One of the downsides of cambridge living...
After avoiding a suicidal cyclist (wrong way down a small one way street) I've managed to curb a rear alloy
I'm going to look at getting it repaired on Monday but I like to be best prepared for the worst.
Does anybody know roughly how much a 19" rear VXR8 alloy is?

Bloody 'ell! I was kind of thinking 500-600 based on the fact a new set of 20" rims + tyres is 3k...

Have no fear, get the tyre taken off and take/send it to these guys in Woburn Sands (outside Milton Keynes) www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/ I have used them many times over the years the always the wheels come back like new. They can weld or staighten damaged wheels at a cost of about £50.
If it's any consolation I curbed mine yesterday so I'll be sending mine there next week!

If Vauxhall price it similar to the VXR Monaro wheel, about £750

What`s the cost per wheel?
For "standard" curbing £50 per wheel, if they need to weld or turn it's about £70 and takes about a week to turn around. Last year some suicidal cow drove straight at me and made me hit the curb at about 30mph. I was convinced it would need a new wheel as the rim was bent and split but they welded & repaired it as good as new. They also run an exchange scheme where if they have your wheel in stock they will simply give you it as a replacement for your damaged one. Who knows, if a few of us use them there will be an endless supply of nice, polished wheels!Noticed these wheels on the following which seem cheap. I haven't used them before so don't know much about them?
