Hi everybody,
I will soon be relocating back to Scotland from Australia. I have recently purchased a VE HSV GTS and intend on bringing it over with me. Can anyone steer me in the right direction as to what will be required to make my new toy roadworthy in the UK? I was going to fit the foglight from the VXR8 and change the speedo facia to MPH. Is there anything else I would need to do?
Any information would be great.
Auzgts.

If you've been out of the country for more 12 months and owned the car for more than 6 months then you will need an SVA test NOT an ESVA test.
SVA is much easier and doesn't require the drive by noise test, or EURO IV emissions test.
Look up SVA on the web, or go here Vosa.
I wouldn't be worried about SVA, I bought in a bunch of cars and bikes (MSVA is very similar), and you can basically read the manual, enter the test, fix the failures and go.
To give you an idea of how easy it is, Kit Cars do an SVA test!

Thanks for the feedback. I am an aussie and have poof showing that I have lived in Aus for the past 12 months and by the time we relocate I will have owned the car for more than 6 months. So I think hat should cover to just do the SVA. I will drop a line to you all once the family and I are over and I am sure we will organise a weekend somewhere so you guys can show me the good roads.
Cheers
