LS1 and LS2 different sound

Just a quickie. Is there any difference in the firing order or anything else between LS1 and LS2 my LS1 seemed to have regular beat to it whereas the LS2 in my VXR8 could best be described as turbine like. Think I preferrd LS1 though. (for sound)

I remember when the LS1 replaced the 5L in Aus everybody complained it was too smooth.

Exactly the same... but LS2 has more compression, different heads, intake, throttlebody, MAF, exhaust, cam etc, etc you get the picture..
Its not the firing order, but just about everything else is different... except stroke, firing order and bore spacing..

I had a VX2 clubsport prior to my VE GTS. I put aftermarket exhaust system onto it and the sound was awesome. I have noticed that the GTS sounds more sedate......until you put the boot into it!!!!!
