is that 10k for an intercooled supercharger, headers, exhaust, heads, valves, camshaft and clutch inc fitting? I know Mark at Rapid was doing a deal at one point for that package of na and fi mods. If its 10k for a charger and cooler on their own I'd shop about for competitive quotes. As for how fast its likely to be well if you consider the dyno results from the weekend a standard vxr seems to make 300-325 at the wheels - with those mods you're talking 500+ rwhp to achieve the 600 flywheel figures. I think you'll want to be buying brown trousers (and a set of AP brakes as well). You're also getting close to the limits of the engine internals at those sort of figures so worth keeping in mind you are closer to breaking something expensive.

Its the updated slow down eventually's driving

actually never had a real problem with them but lets face it they are shit but imagine the cudos you would have if you had the balls to drive an SC600 on cv8 attempt-to-stoppers

Sounds awfully expensive to me, Mark at RapidGB did mine for 5k. For that you get 9psi SC,IC,Fuel Pump,Dyno setup,Before+After Dyno charts & 550-580bhp. Mine's running a standard clutch fine but I've been quoted about £500 for a replacement.

Here's a quote from the Man himself if you want over 600bhp:

Rapidgb said:
Heads up everyone.....we have now put together the ULTIMATE POWER PAC at a price we can't even believe.

One Magnacharger Intercooled @ 9psi Silver
Rapid custom cnc ported heads with large valves, springs and retainers
Rapid spec cam shaft
Hi performance cam followers

Dual cam chain and sprockets

Head bolts
Forged rockers
Uprated clutch
Di Fillippo Full 3" Exhaust System Hi flow 100 cell cats 4 into 1 blower headers
All fluids and filters
All supplied, fitted, remapped, dyno set-up with graphs for proof of bhp and the VAT.
A safe 630bhp at the flywheel (safe on standard bottom end)500bhp at the wheels

All will fit onto LS1, LS2, VXR8 Ultimate Power Pac £ 10,000.00 ALL IN

Cheers Rapid

Yeah you need to get a list of whats in the kit. Its easy to say turbos for £5000. Then you find out, "oh you want it to work properly". Ok thats new injectors, exhaust, fuel pump, custom tune, clutch, brakes etc. The "base" kit might be cheap, but to do it properly wont be. The guys with the high boost superchargers will know this, Im sure they didnt pay the entry level price for for "just a smaller pulley". Mild upgrades are easy as the vehicle can handle mild. Over that things run out of capacity and need upgrading, fuel system, clutches, brakes etc.
Ask Harry what his 1000bhp is costing wink

Turbo`s not really proven yet in this country.

For 10k you can expect to go fast AND stop fast too if you shop around.

basic twin turbo self fit kit is under 4k but that doesnt include any fuel upgrades or dyno time dialling it all in - look how long it took WRC to do the two twin turbo cars and even with all their experience they still had to call in ringram and the guys from Wortec to finally get the cars running properly (one of which is up for sale atm I see) Don't expect much change out of 8k by the time you get a turbo done unless you do it all yourself. I'm about to start negotiations with a company to do me a NA setup which promises up to 480rwhp depending on how far I can stretch the budget. Be interesting to see where they come in on price.

Turbo vs Supercharger...

Had both, Supercharger is far better animal for the road, turbo lag even minimal is a pain on the road and once you have driven a SC the turbo although fast is just not as good IMHO anyhow.
