any tips on what to look for on the car. im buying from a vauxhall dealer. its a 5667cc 04 Coupe monaro.

Are you sure its a CV8 and not a VXR you want ? my 04MY VXR will be up for sale when I get back from hol's on the 16th Nov, wink wink.

Should be safe buying from a dealer as you wii get some warranty from them. There may be some manufacturers warranty left as you get 3 years from registration date. Make sure there is no vibration from the brake pedal as this can be costly. other areas to look at are wet carpets (rear), flaking door handle paint and instruments that occaisionally go berserk. AFAIK the rest seems fairly bomb proof. You wont regret it. Enjoy!..

Welcome to the club on Tuesday. I bought mine from a VX dealer 2nd hand as well. You should get 12 months networkQ warranty which also includes brakes along with nearly anything else.

Check heater hoses for general wear and snagging... hindsight is a wonderful thing

thanks to everyone for their advice, i bought the car yesterday and have been to the petrol station 3 times to fill up already. loving the car already,.
