My understanding

H = Traditional V8 and + marginal low down torgue

X = Exotic and + marginal upper bhp

Straight = ????

I'm thinking about a cat back for myself for xmas...

Balance pipe seems to be mandatory these days. I think either is better than none. X seems the best from what I read.

Was H .... Changed to X ...very slight improvement but took away some of the droning noise at 2000rpm.

2 straight independant systems dont sound that good.

X pipe is apparently the best...with an H-pipe being its cheaper cousin.

But as with everything....there are various designs of X pipe.

Some do a full crossover. The Difillipo one I seen had only like a 20-25mm hole back to back with the other pipe that formed the X. Not sure why this is. thought an open X would be best, as it will allow both banks, to use all available exhaust exit and silencing.
