Speak to Mark at RapidGB, he'll give you all the info you need. I owned one from new in 2001 to 2005 and it was very reliable and great fun. (Think the pic is still on my profile as I'm too lazy to take it off!).

What sort of price are these now ? They were the first of the LS1 powered cars ??

There's one in the classifieds for £16k. They're pretty rare machines, so seem to hold a good price! I've had my eye on these for years in the hope they'd drop enough for me to buy one. However the monaro got there first

The VT2 series were the first with the LS1 in them - some HSV info is here. I think the UK GTS-R cars were the Australian GTS versions.

The GTS-R has the C4B engine. Got mine in 2003, its a VX1 and now has 39k on the clock, enjoy every minute of it.

Ask Roger at Monkfish aswell.

Good luck your search.

There is also a GTS on autotrader for £17k... though it does have a huge engine & supercharger...
Interestingly, according to the ad, only insurance group 11 too!

I think Jace (Raggyman) was toying with the idea of selling the GTSCoupe (Oz name) which is essentially same as UK GTS-R but in Monaro guise. Poor jace just joined the "land of home loans" so I think a toy or two has to go frown

nearly bought a gtsr - but got a gts and added the supercharger as it was a cheaper alternative and less red interia ;-)

mines the blue one for sale in the classifieds - half heartedly selling it as i've now got a diesel run about
