Surrey/Hants meet?
Discussion
Following on from MikeGF's post in the "How Rare Are Monaros?" thread, it seems there's quite a few of us in the area and it would be good to meet fellow owners, as we never seem to see each other on the road!
I trundle around the Godalming/Guildford/Woking area myself, but I don't know anywhere decent to use as a meeting place - I've never been to the Guildford Cruise/Burger King Car Park and I don't intend to start now!!!
So, who's up for it? If anyone is interested then reply below... and suggest a good meeting spot! I guess it'll be some time in the new year by the time anything is organised, but let's start the ball rolling anyway...
cheers,
Olly

The Phoenix in Hartley Wintney has a fair few car clubs meet there, so they obviously don't mind a louder-than-average car park of an evening. It's pretty well located for anyone in the Fleet/ Camberley/ Basingstoke area but it's about a half hour's drive for anyone in Guildford. I also can't say that I've been in there to gauge the quality of the merchandise.
The Shepherd and Flock in Farnham is pretty easy to get to and should be pretty much in the middle of everyone. As far as I can remember their car park is pretty reasonably sized and the beer's quite good, but I haven't been there for a good year or so.
I would more than be up for a meet at any rate, as I've yet to hear a Monaro with the Wortec pipes fitted and I don't want to splash out until I've heard how loud they are (living in a small cul de sac has its disadvantages).

I organised a TVR meet at the Pheonix when I had my first TVR, landlady was more than helpful beforehand, looked after us well and couldnt of made us feel more welcome, was about 30 TVR's in total. Best to get there sooner in the day though, so we can get all the car park spaces out the front
, rather than the gravel place out the back! Food and beer was good.
Cheers

I'd prefer a Saturday to a Sunday, but the 12th sounds pretty good.
If it's the Phoenix we're going for they have directions on their website ( http://www.phoenixinn.co.uk/ ). If you go to the "Location" page on the site they have a Google Maps link. The postcode is RG27 8RT and it's pretty easy to spot as you drive down the A30 through Hartley Wintney.
