362bhp to the rear wheels is rubbish, the SS is 270kw crank, which is 362bhp crank...
Anyway... The VXR8 has a totally different engine as well.
Bloody journalists.

Yeah, the avo is 4 bits on the road. Recently considered one after it took us two days to get the monaro out of the snow. Oh the embarrassment when we got passed by a Fiat bloody punto...

The station wagon looks pretty awesome though.. to me a kind of a bit saba'ish..

Is that the best Autoexpress can do?? The wagons have been running around Melbourne without camo ever since the Sportswagon "concept" was at Sydney (wasn't an R8: HSV haven't confirmed if they are going to do a wagon variant or not).

The £35,105 VXR8 saloon currently offered in UK showrooms is based on the top-of-the-range Holden Commodore SS-V.
Well it shares a bodyshell I guess...Different engine though.
What is the point of writing an article if you don't even bother with the basic facts?

Because the target audience couldn't care less. They may well know the facts but choose not to to into them because it doesn't matter to their audience. In EVO it would, in AutoExpress I suspect it doesn't.

But it's just as easy to write the correct info as it is the incorrect. The fact is it is based on a HSV Clubsport, how many in England would even know what a Commodore SSV is anyway?

I stand by my point, it doesn't matter to them. Whether or not it's easier or not is probably not something you and they agree on.
