A6 Torque management will not be your friend. Big power will make it misbehave from what I read.

I realise this wont help too much, but i had the Walkinshaw S/C fitted. I drove it back to Chelmsford in Nov and it has been in De-humidified storage for the winter since. My initial impressions were "money well spent" however.Massive improvement over N/A. The driving with the auto was perfect and seemed pefectly suited.
Sorry i cannot offer anymore will do once it is released from its cage.

Right then boys and girls what about a little info on an auto with switchable exhaust, power upgrade and cold air intake, has anyone gone this route ?
Driving and living with the auto, or maybe the auto is just toooooooo old manish for on this forum, want another but I think auto is the only way with my old worn out knee's. Your thoughts please.

Tes hi,
Sorry about that i am sure when i picked my car up you said that the clutch was not going to be included in the future.
As per my previous post i will post a write up on the Walkinshaw S/C once i have tested it properly, first impressions were very good however.
Fot those looking for an S/C you will not go wrong when dealing with Walkinshaw it was a very positive experience and they would be my first port of call.

The WP S/C does come up an upgraded clutch on the manual models, plus new plugs and injectors ....
Thanks,

I too am looking to get an Auto VXR8 and based on your post I assume the price for the S/C is £6990 less the cost of the clutch/fitting?
No still the same price.
Or maybe not? I have sent an email to them asking for a dyno chart and correct costs for the Auto S/C.
I have also done some digging and it looks like they use the small HH112 Eaton units from PWR in Australia, so I have also asked about putting on the HH122 unit as this gets a better spread of power.
