Passenger door won't open

A while back, I had some problems with the passenger door occasionally not opening.
Changed the on-board computer to automatically open the passenger door when I disabled the alarm - so as to keep the mechanism "loose", however its now really stuck.
A couple of days ago it was stuck open and when my son closed the door, it had not "clicked shut" so opened when I drove away!
Now its locked shut, which I guess is better than locked open, however means I cannot get at the mechanism to give it some TLC.
Locking/unlocking, using the remote, seems to only make the lock go half-way up.
Have tried manually pulling the lock from the inside, up and down, but it does not seem to do anything.
Any ideas anyone..?

Oh dear, might need some violence on the inside unlock tab. But you might want to get it to someone with a spare lock.. which might mean new keys and reprogrammed vats etc.. Sounds like a dealer job to me.

how long have you owned the car? did you buy private or not?

Had it 18 months.
Taking it to Lee @ Pentagon Rochdale on Wednesday.
Talked to him last night and he said there was a similar problem with the Omega..
