Jesus! I'm glad I bought my monaro second hand at depreciation prices.....The driver side door lets rain in along the top seal............If I'd paid in excess of £30k for a car that did this, I'd be WELL PISSED OFF!! However, I can live with it for now. Anyone else had this problem? What's the fix?

That is likely to be the door membrane fault, it is quite well documented on here, a few of the owners have suffered it.

Iremoved the door cards to rust proof my car .I took the opportunity to check the plastic membrane which was ok in this cased, however as I had to pull some of it to oneside I used a window sealant to fix it back. So far no leaks.

Mine has always been dry, maybe the doors dropped or something.

I think it's likely that the door isn't closing tight enough against the seal. I've had intermittent water ingress problems. I recently bent both door frame a fraction inwards and they seem to seal better now. I'm not convinced about leaky membranes, at least not when the ingress happens when the car is stationary.

Well, nearly a month on, and Salters haven't called back. The last time I spoke with someone there, they said they would order parts and call me to book it in....

hhhmmmmm.....

Pentagon in Burton is about the same distance from me as Slaters, I think any of my hard earned pennies will go there in future....

Noooo...but the water ingress seems to have miraculously repaired itself anyway....

The only other thing that worried me was the difficulty getting into reverse after firing up, but other threads have proven this to be common with a siple remedy...other than that, I'm a very happy bunny...

The modding begins soon smile

Hi Roastbeef, I took out a 2004 built cv8 ,in silver with an 05 reg and about 15k on the clock(from slaters) in late october or early november. It was fine but my wife found a swimming pool behind the drivers seat. They said it had been fixed when I bought a similar spec black cv8 with 6k on the clock about 2 wks later. In the mean time this has been back for a door membrane reseal after it started getting wet behind the drivers seat.So either it wasnt fixed or its failed again, mine only leaked when parked tail down., It hasnt rained so I dont know whether its fixed properly yet but it is supposed to be fixed and although not covered on network Q they did it free of charge.Simon.frown

Yep just had mine fixed, water leaked into the rear passenger foot well, got mine fixed under warranty at Pentagon Derby. They have a dedicated Monaro technician called Martin, he knows his stuff and knew how to fix it straight away. They also got rid of the water with a wet Vacuum. I would get it fixed as soon as you can as it carries on getting worse.
Cannot remember the exact cause but I think he said it was down to a poorly fitted part in the Door.
The guys at Monkfish also know about the problem.
Hope this helps
