I was thinking of running for PM at the next election. Here's my mandate...
1. Pull out of Iraq - Let the yanks finish what they started.
2. Use money currently funding the war to build a few borstels and youth detention centres
3. Bring back national service to process the unruly scum in the borstels/prisons and teach them discipline
4. eliminate all speed cameras
5. Increase speed limit on motorways to 85mph
6. Give power back to the police to use 'reasonable' force without the fear of being sued.
7. Put a lot more plods in place with a ZERO tolerance stance to scumbags and criminals
8. Bring back capital punishment for murderers
9. Make the 'inJustice' system unfair to criminals, and fair to victims
10. Anybody on the dole, who can't be arsed working after 6 months, loses their benefit. If they turn to crime, they'll end up being beaten by a plod with power, and visiting HMP hell.
11. IMMIGRATION - The doors are now closed. We are full.
12. Declare UK a secular state, and follow Australia's example of showing balls to the world. If you don't like it, GET OUT!
13. Let pub landlords decide whether their pub is smoking or not.

The list goes on and on and on.....but I'm ranting now....

Could I suggest a couple of amendments. But you would probably get my vote anyway.

5) Motorway speed limits are limited by the braking distance of your car. Therefore if your car was tested during the MOT to have the ability to stop from 140MPH over 100 metres this is your maximum. Obviously still dependent on road and traffic conditions.

BRAKING DISTANCE FROM
90 km/hr and 120 km/hr

42.0 74.4 Honda Integra GS-R
43.5 80.7 Audi A4
36.9 64.5 BMW Z3 (2.8)
33.6 59.7 Ferrari 550 Maranello
42.0 73.8 Lexus ES300
45.3 78.0 Lexus LS400
45.6 76.8 Mazda MX-5
47.4 86.1 Mazda Protege
36.0 63.0 Mercedes C36
36.0 62.7 Mercedes SLK230 Komp
42.0 72.9 Nissan Maxima
38.7 68.4 Nissan 200SX
36.6 66.3 Saab 9000 Aero
40.8 70.8 Subaru Liberty RX
43.5 82.2 Toyota Camry V6
55.8 95.7 Toyota Corolla
37.8 66.9 Porsche 911 Carrera 4

Therefore the guy in the Corolla should be doing 95kph when the guy in the Carrera could do 120kph on the same road.(I realise people change lanes inappropriately and act like numpties so no rule is absolute)

11) Immigration. Dont shut the doors. What you need is a couple of good bouncers who can select the talented and resourceful and kick out the drunk and disorderly. Forget this open door to EU. A points system like Aus.

Edited to try and make the table readable.

Showed the missus your manifesto, she said "I'd vote for him!", so looks like 2 from this house. Can we get nominations in?

Just add
'Fuel prices capped at 20p/ltr'
'Income tax fixed at 15% of income'

and you've got me too!

Devil's advocate...

1. Pull out of Iraq - Let the yanks finish what they started.
Absolutely don't agree with us ever going in, but probably would leave decision with military bods on ground as to whether we are doing any good. If we are, better to finish what we started, otherwise lost lives in vain? Arguable.

2. Use money currently funding the war to build a few borstels and youth detention centres
School for crims? AFAIK, US has highest imprisonment rate in world and doesn't seem to do them any good.

3. Bring back national service to process the unruly scum in the borstels/prisons and teach them discipline
NS only for criminals? Teach scum to use weapons?

4. eliminate all speed cameras
5. Increase speed limit on motorways to 85mph
No arguments there.

6. Give power back to the police to use 'reasonable' force without the fear of being sued.
Don't they have this already?

7. Put a lot more plods in place with a ZERO tolerance stance to scumbags and criminals
9. Make the 'inJustice' system unfair to criminals, and fair to victims
What do these mean, specifically?

8. Bring back capital punishment for murderers
As deterrent, justice, or cost-saving? Deterrent doesn't work for crimes of passion, which covers a lot of murders. As for justice, some would argue state sponsored murder is immoral, 2 wrongs don't make a right etc. For cost-saving, doesn't work as "beyond reasonable doubt" creates massive bureaucracy which is more expensive than jail for life.

10. Anybody on the dole, who can't be arsed working after 6 months, loses their benefit. If they turn to crime, they'll end up being beaten by a plod with power, and visiting HMP hell.
How do you define "can't be arsed", bureaucratically speaking ? What do you do with all the extra homeless? And why will the plods need to beat them - and will there be compulsory (target-driven) beatings, or discretionary?

11. IMMIGRATION - The doors are now closed. We are full.
To everybody? I moved to Ireland a while back, and have contributed a bit to the economy and not broken any (non-speeding) laws. Should they send me back too?

12. Declare UK a secular state, and follow Australia's example of showing balls to the world. If you don't like it, GET OUT!
What do you mean by "secular state"? AFAIK we are there already, apart from some anachronistic stuff with the CofE (like Bishops in Lords or whatever we have).

13. Let pub landlords decide whether their pub is smoking or not.
Understand view, but wouldn't get my vote. I like going out and not coming back stinking of fags. Also, has worked very well in Ireland, few people complain.

One of the most comprehensively written responses on here john, covered all points back and forth. A lot of time taken to correct the first post , well done 9/10.
I vote in John.

There is far more than meets the eye to justice and law. Some people get carried away with the "if it happened to me" syndrome, which of course gives the knee jerk reaction but not always the clarity toward why the act was carried out.

Ali G had a child with an Aussie girl and she is no minger so maybe she will be allowed in under this new regime.

But it probably means I will get kicked out.

OK....I'll make an amendment to my mandate, point 11. IMMIGRATION.

11. The doors are open to very attractive women from all nations. biggrin

Couple of additional points:

14. Political correctness will not be tolerated, and all middle class psuedo intellects that belive it is the future of our once great nation, will be locked up with the doleys, crims, and illegal immigrants, processed by the national service, and sent to war zones to serve soup to the real men sent there by bed-wetters to fight.

15. Humour will be a compulsary subject within the national curriculum.
