Sorry to go on about oil again but...As I understand it my 05 spec cv8 needs to run on fully synthetic 5/30 or 0/40 Mobil 1.
When I checked an old bottle of Vauxhalls own brand of oil I found in my shed it came with a Mobil oil sticker in the pack. So is vauxhalls oil really Mobil 1 in a different bottle. If not is it any good for an LS1 Engine ?

What grade is it? Is it fully synthetic? Who makes it is not important. 10w/30 or 5/30 is whats on the filler caps (varies) but we always the use 10w/30.

Without going off into a technical sermon, im not a fan of thinner oils!

There is lots of information on the interweb regarding oil grades and the benefits or otherwise in different applications, probaly explained far better than i can do.

If your car is standard i wouldn't worry unduly, either will do, just make sure its fully synthetic.

Regarding grade, believe it needs to be A3 or higher...
