OK I know we should do this regularly but often take it for granted (or I did) that my nuts were perfectly screwed on.

It turns out I was wrong. After twisting them with my fingers I found they were mostly finger loose so I applied a good twist with my spanner to stiffen them all up.

They had been checked after initially being tightened by the man down the garage but I hadn't botehred checking them since.

So lads, check your nuts as one may be ready to drop off.

Definitely good advice. Happened to me in a 4 tonne truck... my mate in the passenger seat, on seeing our rear wheel overtake us started to sing the old Kenny Rogers song.....

"You took a fine time to leave me loose wheel"
