1 to the VXR8 methinks!
haha, as if Vaux would let the VXR8 be shown up when trying to sell it to the masses.
Anyway we all know what the LC does against the VXR8 in a straight line so if its a points thing then surely its 1-1

And yes we all know what the VR8 would do to a LC in a straight line....I believe thats 2 -0 . Come up to dougies wedding in the LC I'll bring a VXR8
mini gumball ...stu
lol - fair enough Stu. But mine won't be coming out of hiding till we see some sun. These old rust buckets need looking after you know
So as you have no control over the media and the standard VXR8 is indeed so fast then how come the figures published in EVO magazine for even the supercharged version put it so much slower than an LC ?

An LC cost £48k in 1990, which is over £80k in 2008 money. It had epic performance in line with contemporary supercars, and so the price tag was justified.
The new RS6 has similar epic performance and price, adjusted for inflation
So, the VXR8 is not really the same sort of car, brilliant though it is.
If anything, the comparison shows how much performance (or at least horsepower) has increased over time.

Check out the Evo roadtest data on the LC and the VXR8 SC.....btw the VXR8 SC was done on wet track ...

To be fair yours is so immaculate I'd put it in the living room rather than pepper it on the roads at the mo.

what about you and one of those lotus exige around a fith gear track??
there cant be much on the roads that are going to touch your VXR

All depends on the track - I'd expect a VXR to be quicker round something like silverstone (the lotus just doesn't have the sheer grunt to make the most of the faster sections) but somewhere tight like Donnington would be a different story.

As the man above says, only on fast tracks as the exige is stunning up to around 100mph and around tight corners (I physically cant get in one though!), Im impressed with mine TBH compared to what I thought it would be like but there is always someone faster... if only cos they is braver (or stupid!).
Now a LC for a second car as daily driver would be nice!
