Moving back in June - want to find a good aftermarket mod company (like wortec do in the UK) where they can source a Black VE Maloo (up to 12 months old is fine) and add S/C, full exhaust with a "quiet button", add some detail and the 20" GTS rims re-painted black. I'll be financing the car through work so I'll pay for it from that supplier lock stock rather than buy the car myself and then pay for the mods seperately. Any ideas/contacts appreciated or if anyone is a member of similar Oz forum and can ask same question for me .(I cant be arsed joining another!)

Check out the sponsors on ls1.com.au

Melbourne I think is G&D who also make otrcai's etc. http://gdperformance.com.au/contact.php
Or these guys http://www.gmmotorsport.com/gm_redback.html who make the ripshifter

Either one should sort you out no problems.

A Maloo with a Supercharger, maybe get last months Motor magazine! That has one up against, well It wouldn't be too hard to guess, something "blue" with one!

Maybe you might want to wait for the rumoured LS3 HSV cars? In the just out Motor magazine there is a semi-artists impression of an LS9 equiped GTS!

I saw the WP ute on the last MOTOR issue.. no offence to WP, they do a great job.. but I just dont need all the stuff they flog with their version. It's down to taste I know but I reckon the add on body bits look a bit rank - I like the std Maloo look and be fcuked if I'm paying $10K for their 22" wheel package! Essentially I want a ute version of the Wortec beast I drove.. (Tilers VE).

Seen the GTS-R article this morning.. (hence my other post)

Pretty sure, you can pick and choose what you want to put on it, The wheels on it for example are way out of my like range!!!! The supercharger upgrade thing should be a max of about $15k anyway.

VE Maloo is not 12 months old yet, and HSV are pre sold to July. Whether it's a HSV or a lower spec Holden UTE, makes no difference, Alan Hale would be pleased to talk to you when you get to Australia.

BTW you might want to check LS1.com.au apparently some guys ordering the Maloo have been told by the HSV dealership they will be recieving LS3 engines in them. First deliveries April/May. Hearsay again, but seems to be coming from lots of quarters.
