Its easy if you have not done it already... Just leaver out the top of the trim - its held in by the press fit lug, once it lets go then kep it pulled out just enough to clear the side molding as you slid it upwards. It comes off about 2" up. If you doing it outside and its cold Id suggest you heat the area a little to save the plastic cracking since its brittle when very cold.
I sorted the side trim yesterday, I took a few attempts to get the gap right at the top and finished it off with a small amout of silicon sealer. I also noticed that I had a gap around the passenger door mirror. It was at the top where the window rubber seal runs along the top of the platic mirror trim. The drivers side was ok .The mirror was a pain to adjust and I had to remove the inside door trim to get at every thing. Lets hope it was worth it and no more screeching wind noise...
I found the main cause of the loud wind noise coming from the passenger door, (05 Monaro)when checking the window seal above the door mirror I noticed it was a few millimeters to high this exposed a small cut out in the top right corner of the plastic trim. I had to remove the door trim and the mirror to adjust everything, I then used a small amout of clear silicon sealer on the cut out section. As luck would have it the weather has been very windy the past couple of days, and result.... no screechig wind noise...Thanks to all who gave advice on previous threads.
