Monaro 0_100mph

Hi Guys.

Anyone know what the 0 to 100mph times are for the monaro range, cv8 and up including the vxr8.

I looked up the 0-100 for the 6.0 VXR yesterday for someone else and found it quoted at 12.4s

0-60mph must be 4.7 and 0-100kph 4.9... sounds right to me.

Sounds a bit optimistic to me! My tuned CV8 certainly feels quicker to 100 than a VXR8 (but maybe gearing is a factor here). My 0-100 is approx 13s judging by my Santa Pod times. Sure the standard car would be a couple of seconds slower.

From the various mags a 0-100 in 13 isn't unreasonable in a vxr8.

I assume yours is in the 8's Stevie, maybe even lower?

I`m sub 10 and ran a 13ish 1/4@ 116mph.

Stevies doing 10 dead practically @150sh, i`d guess 100 is 6sec`s in his monster.

I doubt it, 0-100mph in 6 secs is superbike territory. I'll use some stats from the GSX-R thou' to illustrate:

Performance
Corrected 1/4-mile: 10.08 sec. @ 142.11 mph
0-60 mph: 2.56 sec.
0-100 mph: 5.63 sec.
Top-gear roll-on, 60-80 mph: 2.63 sec.
Power to weight ratio: 964bhp/tonne (based on power at wheel/no rider)

My CV8 is SC and while it is quick, it is nowhere near as fast as my bike - the ZX-12R. Those figures are comparable to a Bugatti Veyron!

Agree with Caspy - Stevie T is driving something faaarrrrr from normal.

Also take a look at Ultima GTR's - GM V8s, lightweight, good traction....world records of sorts for 0 - 100 - 0.

Sorry, I thought we were talking about SC Monaros/VXR8s, not mental Frankenstein drag cars. Respect where it's due.

I think you'll be doing well to match that in a standard (ish) 'Ro because of the weight and lack of traction...even with 600bhp!

Agree..don`t think even Harryoz will get that close given the traction problem with the `ro`.
