Boosted you probably want 1.3/4 or with a built engine and boost even a 1.7/8 primary tube setup.

Unless you really feel you need anything bigger than 1 3/4" Id stick with that as a maximum.

Ive ran my best times to date on 1 3/4" headers, and they pose less of an obstruction to plugs and leads.

They look like the stock HSV headers, I won't put a picture of a standard Holden header up...the scrap people might get a bit excited.
I have read the standard Holden ones are good for turbos though.
