Gearbox lost in post..........

Well its been nearly a month since my VXR went into Picadors after developing some serious Gearbox noise/problems...and boy am I missing it.

It is being replaced under warranty but the problem is there is still no clue on an eta for the new box. I know it is always going to take time to get something like that but at the moment everyone who should be in the loop distinctly isn't!

To be fair Picadors have chased, but it seems the problem lays higher up the chain. They have also supplied me with a Vectra VXR, which although a novelty for two weeks is now just leaving me craving the V8.

I think its time to start pushing for the VXR8 demonstrator........

(they said that they have two boxes on order is it someone else on here?)

Should be able to get a box in 1 week unless it's a 'special' version or coming by sea. More likely it's red tape and paperwork stuff.

My replacement 'box arrived in 24 hours from Luton. Don't take no for an answer, there's plenty knocking about.

Considering the relatvely small numbers of Monaro/VXR8 there seems to be a whole lotta gearbox problems !!!
