25,000 miles Service warning

Keeps flashing at me now everytime I start the engine and switch it off. Was only serviced 2 months ago @ 13,560 and ive bearly covered 1000 miles since then. Have they forgotten to reset the ECU or is it highlighting a problem?
Also the check engine warning has appeared once or twice. All fluid levels are fine so im not quite sure what to do. Is this common?

I have the opposite problem, starting to be slightly paranoid that the service indicator doesn't work!!
Had the first service at 10k miles (1 year old), now at 23k and no indication of the need for another yet. Assume 13k mostly m/way miles in 9 months isn't enough to necessitate a service, (hasn't used a drop of oil and its still very clean) but is there any way to see a 'time to next service' readout?
