Excuse the gratuitous rear end shot, but the offside aftermarket light seems to be misting up on the inside in this recent weather. The near side is fine though. Is there anything I can do to remedy this? Has the seal gone and will need replacing?

I don't have a close up pic of the misting, but at least you can see what type of light they are. I beleive they were fitted at Monkfish? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yup, been there. Stock item was changed over in warranty, as was the offside indicator repeater. Seems to be a non sealed sealed unit

Damn. Will probably have to pay to replace them then as the lights were fitted at Monkfish in April 06 (for previsou owner). Can I get Vauxhall to replace under warranty as the car was sold with those lights?

remove light - place in oven at low temp to dry them out, seal edges with silicon - job done. Or so I've seen suggested on other forums as its a common problem with Astra's.

Thanks Wells. An interesting idea. I'm still a member on the Astra Ownders Club forum, so I'll see if I can find some more info.

Hopefully my next post won't be pics of my nicely oven baked melted rear light cluster.

Maybe put some of that silica gel stuff in there before you seal it up. A packet hidden out of sight will help it stay dry.
