I had new rear tyres fitted today. I asked if they would balance the fronts. They removed the front drivers wheel and the inside edge is nearly down to the cord. The pax side is fine. Both tyres have 4/5 mm of tread left across the tyre.they suggested the tracking was out but i have seen loads of bad tracking and this normally causes wear on both sides. Im not convinced that tracking will solve the problem, please correct me if im wrong. They said they can do 4 wheel alignement but they werent sure if they had a data for the car. Just incase they havent any ideas where i could find data for toe, caster and camber angles for an 04 CV8. Thanks

check for signs of rubbing on the strut, its certainly a problem a lot of the GTO owners have seen. There were also a lot UK cars that shipped from factory with the alignment badly out and inside edge wear was often the first sign of the problem.

You talking inside of the tread or on the sidewall??

The GTO problem was sidewall rubbing I believe, whereas inside tread is just the piss poor standard setup..

You need to talk 'Road Response Pack' with Mr Monkfish!!!
