On another a/c note. I set mine to LOW and AUTO the other day after the car had been sat in the sun. after a minute or two of blowing through the dash (face) vents it then decided to change the flow to the windscreen for about ten seconds and then back to the face vents. Is this normal?
I don't really see the benefit of cooling the windscreen?????

It might have detected your body heat and blew on the screen in case it was misting up - the sensor is the panel of about 12 small holes to the lower left of the dash I believe.

Is there not a windscreen temp probe somewhere aswell? If not how does it know (when cold and heating the windscreen) to swap to blowing thru face and floor vents when up to temperature?

From memory the first production VEs had faulty AC controllers and were replaced under warranty.
The fan speed would go up and down for no reason and they also stopped working when the interior of then car was to hot.

Mine seems to cycle through the different vents once in a while, which on a very hot day is not too bad as you get a different draft for a while.
Bit strange though and yes, it does only do it when the car is very hot.

Wolf dose your's lock out and no matter what u press on the air console nothing seems to happen? U have to switch engine off to reset it and leave the Air System Off whilst driving?
If so it's the temp Controller cos mine locked out on me. Warranty Job m8.

No, everything works ie fan settings, temp, auto on/off etc just the air direction baffle has a mind of its own!
Warranty was up in april...
