Has anyone replaced the CV8 (2004) Vauxhall badges front and rear with HSV ones? (like the Capa.au ones)
Yes and no. I replaced the front/rear badges with Holden lions and added the side 'Monaro' badges on my CV8 - easy to do.
As for HSV badges on a CV8 -

yes sorry newish owner but I do now recall a forum topic pointing out CV8s are Holden and the rest HSV.
I've got the Holden Lions front and rear on my CV8I think they look better than the Vauxhall badges,
when you take the grill badge off you will find the mounting behind is shaped to fit the Lion badge !
Don't let them wind you up about the HSV vs Holden thing
HSV's are Holdens that have had a few overpriced after market bits stuck on by a bloke who used to race Jaguars

Where did they come from? Were they off an R8 Clubsport? I've been thinking of doing that, is it a straight swap?now how many of you VXR/HSV boys have got them then ????

Out of interest did the Vauxhall VXR's have all the vauxhall/VXR bits fitted in the HSV facility before they came to the UK ?
PS I have a couple of HSV white pod gauges if anyone can give them a home

You will need to ask Tiler that, but I'm sure pretty sure he imported them from australia before the AP upgrade was available in the UK (even though they are manufactured in coventry). I think HSV offered AP's as an option on the monaro.
HSV version of the AP's are only 4 pot fronts I believe, not the 6 pot version we get over here. They are based on the standard AP design as supplied to most other car manufacturers/racing teams etc but HSV have exclusive access to the full production runs from AP. As standard the discs come in 2 parts - the bell and the disc, the bell design of course is unique to the car but come time to change the disc you simply unbolt the worn part and bolt on a new disc. The disc is a standard item across any car and come in a range of sizes and are a lot cheaper to replace. Local AP dealer to me reckoned I'd be looking at around 1600 fully fitted if we could get them and around 100-150 at most to replace a disc. Maybe we could persuade HSV to let us get a few sets now.....

I had to replace the front discs last year due to "wear and a wobble" they were £250 odd each from Roger - they replaced the whole disc including the bell.
Just got back from the track, wore my new WA Monaro Club shirt
, just joined this week, seems like quite a good club. Lots of classic (ie late 60s) Bathurst Monaros, these are fetching insane money now (ie half million $ etc...
I might even post a pic of me in my shirt
ETA, and totally O/T, we're in the last weeks of autumn here, must have been 30deg C today, and I got sunburnt
