Clutch Life!
Clearly it depends on how the car is driven. I am up to 40,000 miles with no sign of problems on the factory fitted clutch, how are others doing?
Is there a way to see how much life is left on the clutch (by the owner, or during a dealer service) or do you just have to play a 'waiting game' that someday it will fail?
I notice after a good thrash up through the gears I can smell clutch dust, I guess this is just the dust being blown out of the bellhousing. It never seem to have any other side effects.

52,000 and mine seems fine. Having only owned the car 3 months, there could be something wrong and I wouldn't know it unless it was starting to slip. The fluid is pretty dirty, so I'll be looking to flush out the system soon. I'll post if it makes any difference. Other than that, it seems fine, and I'm raking up the miles.
What sort of problems should I be looking out for?

I changed mine (05 CV8)at 23K to fix judder it always had. Hardly any noticeable ware. You have to change it as a kit eg the disk, pressure plate and flywheel. So if you did go down to the rivets you are not damaging parts you would keep anyway. So I would leave it alone unless you have a definite problem.
