Not sure if this has been covered before, but has anybody bothered to change their dif and gearbox oil using better quality oil? If you have did it reduce any whining noise from the drive train? also how much would it cost?
One last thing my 05 cv8 is rated at 350 bhp and 369ft/lb torque is that accurate? The reason I'm asking is that I was reading about old Muscle cars and it appears that the advertised BHP was a bit optimistic in some cases
thanks again...

I swapped my gearbox and diff oil out for royal purple - all in including tax and carriage from US with 1 spare quart of each it came to 117 quid give or take plus 1 hour labour at my local dealer to do the change. Made the gearbox a lot smoother, can't comment on diff as it didnt make a lot of noise to begin with.

Just had the diff oil replaced and new slip modifier put in at Monkfish. Seriously great (noise is never an issue I find) improvement as the lsd is now working correctly.
