My dads Holden (4dr) will be up for sale in about week, when it returns from Rapid GB from service/MOT.

Is a 2002 car, 35k miles from new, in black, supercharged (new 'charger fitted approx 2k miles ago).

It's going to be sold at £13k. If you were interested in it (but wanted to stay as close to your budget as possible) I could cancel the £200 detail that he's having done and reduce the asking price to £12,800

I have some photos I can send if you're interested in seeing it...

Car I would buy is the CV8 at Monkfish <10k miles for 13.5k.

Nice car. Demonstrator sounds like a NASCAR (looks like one too).

totally standard though so if he wants to mod the car and working on his budget it would mean a long wait? Looks nice enough but you're looking at 1.5 to 2k to get the mods the car needs?

Dragonball,

I'm (very) reluctantly selling mine due to family pressure (second child on the way). I live down the road in Chiswick so let me know if you're interested:

Very good condition, just been taxed and Mot'd

kids are no excuse - my 2 (6 & 4) love mine. Assuming you can afford it get a second, sensible, diesel car for family duties.

Fair point, got away with it for a while with the first, although missus found it hard getting the baby seat in and out of the back of the Monaro, it is a tight squeeze. When they get older and I can use the fixed seats should be easier. Bought an S4 Avant a while back (had to still have a V8 even if it is an estate), and have managed to keep the Monaro for quite a while, but to be fair we really only need 1 car living in London so had to concede. frown

Will be back at some point soon hopefully

Move out of London, buy the missus a bigger house in the country to keep her happy, keep both cars (cos there are no busses) and spend the extra on petrol. Sorted!

Worked for me, I moved to rural Bedfordshire 5 years ago and it's lush.
