New to Monaro ownership and want to know the BHP of my purchase as I understand that early cars had around 328 and this increased to around 354 prior to VXR and 6.0 litre models. I have a 2006 5.7 V8 in Impulse blue. Is there an easy way using VIN numbers etc of finding out what BHP my car has? Excuse any inaccuracies in the above.

Thanks in advance.

Small boot model had better exhaust. If yours has small boot then its probably the higher powered model.
Im sure Brian will confirm if thats right (Caspy)

I don't think they did the 05 and on in Impulse Blue so it will be like mine and only have 333ps - well it used to have that until it got tinkered with

Nobody's said 'Hello' yet, so Hello and welcome! If you need more power, speak to Roger at Monkfish - yours responds especially well to tinkering....

Cheers guys. Keen on a bit of tinkering. What's best without completely ruining my insurance?

Been on Monkfish site. Very dangerous! Reckon the sport pac looks the part. Would you agree?

Sport pac is ideal, and probably represents one of the best value mods available. Better sound, power, torque. Transforms the car.

Sorry for the belated reply. Thanks for the confirmation on the Sport Pac. I'm booked in for 19 June. Already looking forward to the journey home! Been up to Watford at the weekend and managed to stretch the car's legs a little. Very nice. Thanks for the welcome too!

See where it says classifieds at the top of the page move pointer over and click on HSV/Monaro Parts from the selection that pops up. Or click the link I've posted here :-)
