Dose anyone know how to disable the annoying bonging sound you get when the drivers belt is not attached ?
The dealer told me there was no disable on the tech2 thingy and as it appears to come through the speakers from an ecu my thoughts are to loop out / jam the contacts in the seatbelt receiver, however im not sure if this will effect things like the belt pretensioner or airbags etc?

Has anyone any ideas or managed to get rid of this noise pollution?

Thanks

Ian.

I believe it's the same fix as with the Monaro, put the seatbelt on! <sic>

Apparently you need to earth the circuit, which is what the clip does. Also push in the button the bong goes off for as long as you hold it in..
Or sort out the wiring that goes to the seatbelt thingy.

Better yet as mentioned, put your seatbelt on. (Its annoying for me too! I do put it on, just not in the 0.5 sec it wants me to)

confused Unless there is a problem with yours it only goes off when you don't have the seatbelt on, so what's the problem? I'm sure you're not stupid enough to not wear it?

one fix was to remove the instrument cluster to gain access to the speaker. Either disconnect or foam it up to dampen the noise.

Note: the bong is also used for the engine rev limit warning.
