A shell station vacuum cleaner after driving for a few hours in todays weather a pound can buy almost enough suck to get the water out of the rear footwell and thats after filling the sill with foam cavity filler last night

If I bought a supercharger could it be linked to a submersible water pump?
that way I could enjoy water free Monaro motoring and justify the supercharger as well

Those of you with stanadrd brakes think "Oh Ive got to hit the pedal hard... will it stop in time" I think "oh Ive got to break and here comes the wall of water over the under seat electrics and into my shoes"

thought it was the crappy door liners that were the problem with some cv8s?

tried driving with the windows closed? boxedin Seriously though I'd have the door panels off and take a look yourself to see if their fix has held up - water can find its way through some unbelievable routes. Other way to check would be to have someone with a hose pointed at your door while you sit on the passenger side and watch to see if its coming through the rubber seals or the from behind the door cards.

I just spat out my dinner with laughter. You guys have made me paranoid about water in my CV8 - I'm forever feeling under the mats fearing the worst. Nothing so far though.

I managed to flood my old Carlton's footwell with battery acid though, which I don't recommend wink

whats great about it is having vacuumed it up there is still more the next morning just been back to the petrol station to have another suck

Great fun for colleagues to see me hanging out the mats to dry before coming into work

One good thing is it really helps on cornering (but only going right) you can swing it hard like a scoobie just dread those left hand bends though wheel leave the ground
