Right, its time to fit these widebands i've got sitting on my desk.

Is there a preferred route of getting wiring into the cabin from the transmission tunnel? I was thinking running wires underneath the shifter dust boot would be the easiest, but may be missing and obvious cable grommit....

Any experiences?

Yeah you can get it between the boot and the bracket. There is also a grommit passenger side top corner in the engine bay behind the strut tower on the firewall... at least there was on the earlier models of that body shape. Dumps the cable into the passenger foot well.

Im wondering where it will go on the VE as the shifter bracket is far more hard core. I need to look for firewall access points or something..

Best route is via the grommit on the bulkhead on the far left. Comes in behind the glovebox. Once your done, just pop the grommit back in.

Sounds promising, i'll have a look. May be some better points for running power etc from the fuse box.
Cheers.

Imagine there is a similar point on the R8 Richard?
